As teachers, our most important task is adapting our teaching to students individual needs. Technology is an essential part of that process. Setting up various opportunities for each student to succeed in a different capacity allows our classroom environment to feel warm and accepting. Centers are a big part of our daily routine. Each center focuses on a different skill with a new way to show their knowledge. These iPads will give my students the freedom to explore the strategies that will best allow them to succeed, as well as finding the fun in learning again! The two centers in which the iPads will be most beneficial for our class would be during Daily 5 and Math Stack. The iPads would allow or listen to reading library expand exponentially. Students will be able to choose from hundreds of books to listen. Math Stack centers will also improve by giving the students the freedom to choose which math game and strategy to work on day by day. We would be so grateful to anyone who wishes to improve the learning in our second grade classroom!
