After recently attending a STEM institute with my co-teacher, we have learned how important it is to integrate aspects of STEM into our daily learning. Unfortunately, we do not have any STEM materials or resources, therefore in order to effectively implement our new training into action, we would need several materials. Our vision as an ICT classroom is to bring as much STEM as we learned and share it with our students. We would need a lot of planting materials, hydroponics materials, and life science materials to bring this idea to life. These are very expensive materials but can bring our classroom to life once implemented effectively. These STEM materials are wonderful for teaching our students about living and nonliving things. The most important thing we are asking is our planting materials because we want to teach children how to grow organically and eat fresh produce. Students in our school are not able to easily access healthy organic foods but with the help of plants grown in the classroom, they can have unlimited access to these foods. It is so important to teach children about healthy living and habits, therefore giving them a green thumb will allow them to do it on their own.
