We spend a large portion of the day sitting on the rug learning. All of my teaching is done on the rug. This method helps my students pay attention and listen more attentively. We currently have no rug. A rug would help us learn by creating space for each child. We have 25 students and this rug would allow each one to have his/her own square and space. This type of structure will benefit the students in many ways. They will understand the concept boundaries and improve focus. It encourages them to face forward during instruction. The rug will provide reinforcement to learning letters which is a big part of Kindergarten.
