During this time, it is extremely tough to keep my students engaged. This is a way to keep my students motivated, despite our current pandemic. A new camera and memory card will allow my students to watch tutorials that I will create as distant learning assignments on how they will document their work and accomplishments. Documenting and sharing student work is a way to keep students motivated and engaged! I am requesting this digital camera to aid in instruction for my distant teaching. This camera would help my ELL (English Language Learners) students by providing that concrete image of unfamiliar vocabulary. It will also serve as a great tool for making class books as well as behavior plans so the students can see what expectations should look like. Some examples are: what straight lines in the hall look like, how a clean classroom library appears, and how to maintain an organized desk. When you think back to your childhood, there was nothing better than seeing your work on display. This will also be included in my distant teacher lesson plans. Having this digital camera for my tutorials and lessons will allow students to see their work, but also capture them while creating it. This project will impact so many students over the years by encouraging their language development and academic growth.
