Everything I do in my classroom is based on the latest research and is student-centered. I would like to add more flexible seating options to my classroom. I've researched and learned that some of the immediate benefits of flexible seating include that students burn more calories, use up excess energy, and demonstrate increased engagement. In addition, the use of Wobble Chairs creates better oxygen flow to the brain and improves core strength and overall posture. Since physical activity is linked to higher academic performance, better health, and improved behavior, I feel like this is a great investment in my student's health.
