My 4th grade students are bright and inquisitive but don't always have the motivation to fully engage with our mandated curriculum. Through the power of books, I aim to help my students make powerful, personal, and lasting connections with historical events. I want them to understand where we have been, where we are now, and where we could go in the future. I want to provide my students with current and classic historical fiction books to help them make these all-important connections. My goal is always to create lasting impressions on them and introduce them to characters that stay with them for many years to come.
