The donations for this project will improve students with special needs functional life skills. They will learn how to interact with customers, plan, prepare, organize, serve and develop finical mathematics skills. This will include but is not limited to taking customers orders, communicating with peers, and preparing food and beverage items. Students will also be responsible for filling out customer receipts, collecting payment and providing correct change. They will be in charge of preparing the coffee machine,utilizing it and cleaning it daily. They will also prepare ordered beverages and food items and distribute them in the appropriate packaging you have helped to supply to the Wildcat Cafe. The students will have opening and closing responsibilities for each shift that they work. The goal of the café is to teach students job skills, such as customer service, critical thinking, financial mathematics, active listening, time management, sales and marketing. Your generous donations for this project will provide quality work experience opportunities, while enabling my students to become productive members of society. They will gain confidence, communication skills, safety and health training.
