Have you ever thought about how fresh vegetables get to your table? Many students don't have access to fresh vegetables, let alone the understanding of how vegetables get to homes. Our students will use the design and engineering process to design a garden, research growing techniques, and work cooperatively to sustain a vegetable garden on campus. The vegetables grown will be donated to Katie's Krops, a nonprofit organization that encourages youth to maintain vegetable gardens for the purpose of donating all vegetables to those in need. Not only will this project give our students rigorous academic challenges, but will also help foster in our students a desire to serve others.
