In order to successfully acquire Spanish students must read understandable texts. Much like early literacy development in elementary schools my students need books that help them expand their vocabulary. Every day my students will use these easy and engaging books through Silent Sustained Reading. Spanish 1 students will experience success and build confidence as they use and learn more Spanish. Adding these materials to my classroom library will provide variety and interest as students use them every single day. Expanding my library will go a long way to help students find things they are interested in reading. I hope to make Spanish not so foreign.
