This school year, I am planning to implement an Independent Pleasure Reading Program but I need books in Spanish to begin motivating my Spanish-Speaking students to read in their heritage language. Our library doesn't have books in this Spanish because it lacks resources to purchase extra books. We need novels, non-fiction, series, trilogies, biographies, autobiographies, to begin our new initiative. Research has indicated that if we lead students to become readers, rather than merely knowing how to read, we need to build a pleasure reading into our classes. Our goal is to offer our students a variety of books to choose from.

About my class
