My students practice reading in small groups daily with teacher. These materials will engage my students in nonfiction and possibly open a career path for them. Presently, their world is filled with some sort of trauma. It would be awesome to open their eyes to things outside their pain. Student who are not working with me are still grouped and are working on other centers. The listen to reading center will accomplish something all my students love and that is to listen to a story being read to them. I chose a set of read-alongs most likely at their level.
