I have many books in my classroom library but they need a welcoming place to call home. Students are more likely to read when they can sit in a comfy place away from the standard desk and chair. They want to be able to sit back and enjoy their books in a relaxing little corner. Many of my students come to me reading below grade level so I stress that reading every day is a must. What a better way to make it engaging than a welcoming rug and a few bean bag chairs. My students will be wanting to read all day! This would be the perfect place during silent reading time and centers. Please help a child learn to love to read.
