In particular, reluctant readers and/or readers with a need for differentiation will benefit from having a professional reader supplement this already engaging and important World War II text. The benefits of having a novel for each student include enhancing the students' ability to read it on a more in depth, critical level, as well as giving them the ability to support their thinking more thoroughly in written and oral expression through the use of easily accessible text evidence.
