I work with a special group of students who face physical, intellectual and emotional challenges. Although many people tend to see my students' disabilities first, I prefer to focus on their strengths and aptitudes. My main responsibility as a special education teacher is to meet their diverse needs, and in order to do so, I need to use specialized instruction, supports, and materials. Technology has played an important role in the instruction of my students. Last year, for instance, they created Powerpoint presentations and used Google Classroom. Unfortunately, I cannot longer do that because I only have one computer and 14 students in my classroom. I am asking for your support to buy at least 4 electronic tablets. The use of this technology will improve their academic, social, and functional skills.
