Hello! I am a special education K-6th resource teacher at a Title One school working with students with a wide range of diverse needs; from struggling readers functioning just below grade level to students with significantly low cognitive abilities with severe emotional and behavioral issues. Many of the students at Molholm come from stressful, traumatic and chaotic households and to have special needs in addition to their difficult home life adds to their every day struggles and challenges. Nevertheless, my job is to bring out the best in them. I need to differentiate my lessons through out each day, minute by minute, so that each of these amazing students are motivated and 100% engaged in their learning, so that despite their learning disabilities, they have the ability and confidence to fully participate and progress at their fullest potential. This is a daily challenge, but I love my job, I love my students!
