The use of a document camera would be a daily use in my classroom, especially in math. Using the document camera, students come to the rug for guided practice and whole group to record modeled strategies and information. The document camera allows the students to visually see and participate in the lesson we are doing. What becomes a problem is the fact that we are running out of room in our classroom too. Since Hurricane Harvey, another teacher and I share a classroom. We have 30 students, so fitting them all on our carpet comfortably where they are able to see vocabulary, examples, and problems, is difficult. There are many ways the document would be used. I would use it to display worksheets, forms, and text book pages. This would cut down wasting precious class time running around making sure all the students know where you are in the book, on the worksheet, etc. I could simply point to it with a document camera. I would also be able to show students how to do assigned work. Also, during geometry I would be able to demonstrate 3 dimensional figures. This would also cut down time spent passing an item around to view. A document camera also enlarges text for students with vision impairments. There are many great uses if it was in our classroom! The document camera will allow the students to see better and make our lesson also
