This 3rd grade classroom needs 2 simple things which are chairs and headphones. Classrooms typically have learning centers, unfortunately we do not have enough chairs for centers in our classroom so the students drag their chairs all around room or just end up standing when they are at a center. It would be a simple necessity to adjust and it would really make the classroom a safer and more peaceful place. We are so lucky to have 6 computers in our classroom BUT we do not have headphones. Only 2 headphones work and they do not have the ear squishy pads on them so we are unable to really do any listening when it comes to our computer time. Many students need that extra audible support to grow as learners. They need to hear pronunciation of words and follow along online books and resources. Having headphones in the room will support the students in so many ways and stop many classroom arguments on who gets to use the two broken headphones we do have. This donation would 100% change my class and the students daily lives. The students have so many personal challenges that it would really relieve some of their anxiety and stress if we received this donation. Sharing chairs and deciding which 2 of the 20 students get to use headphones has a huge impact on behavioral issues in class. If we receive this donation I know that students would happier and ready to learn.
