In our integrated classroom, having flexible seating allows for the preschool students to promote self regulation. We are hoping to add additional seating options to our classroom for preschoolers to use during circle time when at the large group rug. Having these options allows students to better regulate their bodies, meet their own needs, and focus their attention. Though alternative seating is a fairly new modification to a classroom, it is proven to be beneficial throughout special education practice. My hope is to bring more new innovations to this rural school district and preschool program with your help! Thank you for taking the time to read our proposal!
