Oh, the groans from students when we practice writing skills! Sixth graders are more engaged in any activity when it is fun and interactive. Help me eliminate pencils and drab, fluorescent lighting in exchange for NEON! I'd like to GLOW up our regular writing lessons using BLACK LIGHTS and HIGHLIGHTERS to help my students' writing POP! Not only will these materials make writing lessons more fun, it will actual serve our visual learners when applying best practices for drafting constructed responses and narrative writing. When students can visualize the different sentence types within their paragraphs and essays because they are color coded, the groans will cease and GREAT AUTHORS will emerge. Thank you for supporting my 6th Grade English Language ARTS classroom!
