At risk students must feel important and have a vested interest in their educational molding. As a focus, it is my goal to provide.classroom instruction that allows all learners to grow and flourish individually. Research states that reading centers allow students to glean their own understanding of specified skills. Limited funding has led to a need for items to assist in building reading centers. Each of these of items will promote greater independence and promote ownership for each learner. Reading centers allow multiple opportunities for success while minimizing distraction. When learners are in a comfortable environment, they can focus on the direct task, promoting student achievement.
