My students need new materials, including Yasutomo Origami Kit, 12 Biplane Model Kits, and Coding for Kids, to create, build and problem solve. Students grades 5-8 will have the opportunity to use the STEM space once a week after school to explore new experiences. Students will have the chance to build, problem solve and create using materials they may have not been exposed to. Some of these opportunities include origami, coding, Lego construction and airplane models. Students can work independently or collaborate with other students and with myself and the STEM teacher. My makers and movers will be thrilled to get their hands on exciting new material. These materials will provide choice and a variety of low and high tech opportunities for my young learners.
