In our classroom, our work is active and student driven. We learn by doing and getting our hands dirty. This Spring, students will be taking on the role of historians and researchers. Students will actively engage with history and it's impact on our community today. They will collaborate with peers and act as teachers, sharing research around their specific interest with peers. The books included in this project will allow students to become experts in their area of study and engage deeply with history. Students will independently select 3-5 titles from this collection of books like "We Are the Ship: The Story of Negro League Baseball" to learn about the impact of athletes on American Culture or the American Revolution.
