In every classroom, students finish their work at different times. I am asking for thought-provoking, challenging, and educational resources for students to work on quietly when they finish their assignments. Students should be able to have interesting options when they complete their work; they should not be given more of the same, just to keep them busy. If they have demonstrated an understanding of the subject, then they are ready to move onto something new. However, since I changed grade levels this year, my classroom does not have enough educationally based, challenging and interesting choices for these students. I have chosen a variety of games, puzzles, and activities to allow students to have choice and be fully engaged in learning when they have finished assignments earlier than their peers.
