We are excited to have some fun while learning by using some of our senses. These sensory tables will allow us to play and learn at the same time! The mat is to make sure that our spills are kept in one area and that we can still continue to have fun The sand and play pellets we get is so that we can go digging for letters or objects or let our imaginations and senses go wild. With the rice, the plan is to dye it in various colors and add some spice to stimulate our senses. When students play in the sensory bins, they are playing with a variety of materials and texture to stimulate their minds and to provide opportunities for them to learn in meaningful ways. Sensory play allows them to have language development, use their fine motor skills, use their five senses, improve their focus and concentration and most of all, to have fun!
