Language classes require students to read, write, listen and speak. Speaking is the most important for student learning because it is the language they use to communicate to get a job. The iPad will help students practice their speaking skills and allow them to build confidence over time. The addition of technology would give my students a much needed boost of practice in the areas of listening and speaking. It is especially helpful to students who are speak a second language. The iPad will help students strengthen the most important part of communication--speaking well: so that their voices can be heard and their concerns be voiced. Students who are confident in their listening and speaking abilities will be ready to face the challenges of higher education and the workplace. They will feel successful everyday when they get to practice speaking. I truly need your support to help my students become successful members of our society. They are the future.
