The iPad will be used as a reading/writing/math station that the students use throughout the day for technology purposes, focusing on STEM, literacy, math, and science skills. OSMO will help students work individually, and in small groups, to develop their literacy, math, and coding skills at their level. This link to technology will prepare students for applying their literacy and math skills to STEM through technology, which is a skill they will use the rest of their lives. By donating to this project, you will be supporting boys and girls by opening the doors to technology in our classroom. This technology will be used throughout the year in various ways. In the beginning of the school year, students will use the iPad and OSMO to review and learn new strategies and concepts in literacy and math. As the year progresses, the students will have access to Google Classroom, Epic, Study Island, OSMO along with many other apps. My objective is to have students on level by the end of third grade because statistics say if you are not prepared in vocabulary and reading level by the end of third grade, the student will continue to struggle the rest of their educational careers. You will help make a difference because the school has no funds to purchase these additional resources. Once we have this technology it will impact every child that comes through this school. Please help me give these future adult the technology based beginning they deserve.
