Many of the students in my class are performing below grade level in reading. They are unable to fluently read grade level text and cannot comprehend what they have read. Despite these challenges, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They love school because they love to learn new things. There are struggles along the way, but we walk the journey together. The excitement in their eyes when they move up a grade level in reading makes all the hardships worth while. My students will benefit from using this listening station to aid in the help and development of their reading fluency and comprehension. The CD students are listening to will model the correct way to read and pronounce words they may not know. This will allow students to become independent in their reading.
