Creating a motivating and competitive learning environment in math class is a necessary task for teachers with this generation of students. By using these hands-on materials, students won't even realize all of the problem solving skills they are applying to solve these math problems. Students will unlock toolboxes and envelopes as they work together to solve math problems. They will not be able to move on to the next envelope until solving the code. Students will use their math answers to then answer ciphers, hidden messages, to get the codes to the next lock.Student engagement will peak when they discover the UV lights. Students work as teams to ESCAPE math class together and enjoy victory.
