My 5th grade Makers need a MakerBot Replicator 3D printer to bring them to the forefront of our ever changing society. After all, how many of us know 10-year-olds that can 3D print? 3D printing is about more than printing a keychain or a piece of art. 3D printing teaches students the concept of spatial awareness which is a concept lost on many adults. It teaches them basic math concepts like measurement and dimensions. It taps into their creativity and possibly the chance at a future that they may never thought possible. Who knows, I could have the next Edison!
