Our classroom library is continually growing; however, we are missing several important things. I want to provide my students with the opportunity to read diverse books. While we are slowly adding these, we simply do not have enough for all students to enjoy. I want my students to find a diverse character that they can relate to. Students should be able to read books with easy-to-relate characters. I want my students to read about important people from history and realize that they can make a positive change as well. These books show people that changed our world. I want my students to be inspired by these characters.
