Working together in groups helps students not only succeed in the classroom, but also in real-life experiences. They also need more individualized time with the teacher during group rotations at a kidney shaped table. Different style tables help students with both of these needs. Group based learning can help students build confidence, support each other, and create an inviting learning environment. These seating options also lead into more flexible seating arrangements in the classroom. Groups also help students have deeper discussions about books than paper and pencil tests. They can support peer editing in writing and lead to deeper thinking all around.
