My students are in need of adjustable desks. These new desks will make a positive influence on my students' learning environment. The desks that are currently in my classroom are short and cannot be extended to become any taller. As I am planning to teach third and fourth grade, there are some fourth graders who would have difficulty feeling comfortable in the smaller desks. I believe it is essential for students to feel comfortable in their own space so they can become more involved in class, and these adjustable desks are a way to improve this situation. These new desks have light-colored tops so they can double as a dry-erase work space. Also, I am excited that the desks can fit well together for group activities.
