"What we cannot imagine, cannot come into being" -Bell Hooks My first graders come from rural and suburban neighborhoods around West Sonoma County, Ca. While attending a majority White school many come from Spanish-speaking, Latinx families. I also work with families of Native American, Asian American, African American, and Indian American backgrounds. While my students reflect the diversity of our country, my classroom library does not. Your support will help my students to see themselves and their families in the books around them.
