My third graders would absolutely love the couch/chair flexible seating options in our classroom. As students engage more in collaborative learning, having the option to work with their peers in a color-popping, child-centered area would be quite exciting for them. My students love spreading out around the room, with partners or teams, and the more options I provide, the higher the student engagement. With the comfy couch/chair flexible seating options, there will be a community-building space in the room conducive to communication and collaboration. Creating a class culture of even more positive interaction in our classroom is one of my goals this school year!
