I teach in a low income school district. It is 90% free breakfast and lunch at the school. The students supplies are very old and don't work as well as we need them to. Unfortunately, because of the school districts finances, we don't get a budget for the year, as some schools give out. We must purchase things that our students need with our own money, and we do not reimbursed. The students need so much in order to help them learn. Some are simple like headphones, some are a little more complicated such as computers. Our students deserve to receive a well rounded education. In order to give them this, we, as teachers, must supply them with certain equipment, and skills in order to get them ready for the next grade.
The students I teach are special education. It is 12:1:1 class. My students would be grateful for any donation that you consider giving. Thank you for taking the time out to browse my site.
