In two weeks, I will be teaching using the Simultaneous Hybrid Model, meaning some students will be at school while others will be learning online at the exact same time. Because all lessons will be online, I must remain in front of my laptop at my desk to teach those at home as well as the students in class for the entire time. Before the pandemic, I constantly roamed the room to make every student feel like they were important, not just the ones closest to the front of class. A tablet will allow me to access all of my digital lessons and resources without having to sit at my laptop in front of the class. Simply by teaching from different areas in my room, every student in the class would feel like they were receiving equal attention, importance, and connection...something that Distance Learning has taken away for a year.
