My Students are in need of more flexible seating choices in our classroom. The goal is to add various kinds of flexible seating options to the classrooms reading area along with leveled readers so as to appeal to the varying reading levels of my students. Adding these seats and books to the classroom’s goal that ‘Every Child Must Learn’ will allow my students more opportunities to find the best spot for them to do their work, and in addition striving to be an excellent reader. Giving students various options for seating encourages an optimal learning environment to complete assignments, tests, and reading tasks. My students also need a complete classroom library covering reading levels from beginning level J readers to level N readers. This will help student’s academic achievement and it will allow them to be more engaged during lessons. Students will be able to choose to sit with a partner, within a group, or in a spot alone to complete tasks. The stools and pillows/ cushions would be put to use as soon as possible. Books are important to every child's education. The more literature we can put in front of students the more they will learn and finding a good book to read is essential. To build their confidence and comprehension Getting books that are at their ability level makes the students want to read.
