The students will use the materials in the counselor's office as a way to grow and use play during counseling interventions/sessions to address and encourage students' emotional and behavioral progress. For example, with the utilization of the social skills board games and Magna-tiles, I will be able to observe how my students play together and resolve conflict during stressful situations. The Magna-tiles and gears will be used to spark conversations and help students with expressing their emotions through play. The games will be used for small groups and one on one counseling lessons to assist defiant students to learn how to share and build with one another. They will also be used to spark conversations when trying to get difficult students to open up.
