While going about our school lives, my students have spoken up about having our own science fair projects. These projects would be developed by the students, providing them with the space to creatively grow and develop with science in mind. The first of our long list included possibly creating a miniature greenhouse project. The acrylic sheets, thermometers, glue and tape will allow my students to grow academically while providing them with the opportunity to create something with their own hands. and learn about the advantages and disadvantages of the greenhouse effect. This can be a great endeavor to pursue, as students will be able to conceptualize and explore the subject of heat transfer, through the lends of their own “miniature greenhouses”. The design portion of this project will help students in processing how created controlled environments are created, while simultaneously exposing them to global issues such as gas emissions.
