The 2019 Summer Holocaust Seminar will provide me and my colleague with the pedagogy behind effectively teaching the Holocaust. We will provide our students with authentic learning opportunities via video blogs, written blogs, photographs, and video. At a time when bigotry and hatred seem to be on the rise, we need to implement the lessons learned through the Holocaust that intolerance is devastating to all of us. Upon returning, we will be able to incorporate our experiences into our lessons, as well as turnkey our experiences to other educators and community members about the Holocaust and other genocides. Our goal is to share a part of history that should have never been written but needs to be remembered to ensure that something as catastrophic will not happen again.
