We live in Kansas City, MO, where one day it can be 70 degrees outside, and the next is 20 degrees and snowing. The weather changes so drastically that we have to be ready to keep our students active, no matter the weather. I will use different sport materials that will be used inside and outside the classroom to accommodate to outdoor conditions. When we do get to go outside, we have limited playground equipment. We will use these materials to get the students moving and keep them engaged with active play outside. They will use the materials to play games and use their creativity to make up new games. This project will help teach my students that staying active is an important part of living a healthy life. It will help give them a break during the day to help them refocus on their school work and finish the day strongly.
