Research shows that allowing students to sit in comfortable, flexible seating options greatly enhances their focus. My active bunch will be presented with a high level of responsibility of finding the best seating option for them, while feeling a sense of comfort while learning. Often I can look around my classroom and have to correct a few students for not sitting correctly in their chair or for standing. The way they sit in the uncomfortable chairs often concerns me. Their safety is a number one priority and the chairs often end up on the floor. Also, the flexible seating options will help to improve their posture. Especially the yoga balls! I am asking for donations to first buy yoga balls and hedgehog balls for students to use at their desks. This will help with fidgeting and making sure students are sitting correctly. I am also asking for stackable stools for students to use at their small group table. I am also asking for inflatable chairs for students to have in our classroom library.
