Our listening center in our classroom helps bring our children together to enjoy reading with one another and also gets them excited about reading books! Reading stimulates their imagination and expands their understanding of the world. Along with developing language and listening skills and prepares them to understand the written word. Also, socially our Listening Center helps teach our students how to work with one another and take turns since our Listening Center allows for at least two students to listen at a time. Our Listening Center will help build relationships between one another because listening to the same story together will stimulate conversations about what the book is about.
