Our community is a very rural community. My students do not have resources right at their fingertips. We have many students that come from very hard backgrounds, foster homes, etc. Providing them a safe place to come is our first priority. I feel for those students that don't have the small things in life, and the love they receive at school is all they get during the course of their day. I want my students to have the opportunity to grow at their own rate, but know they are worth it, and they can accomplish anything. When a student is confident in their spelling, their reading improves. When their reading improves, their writing improves. It really is an all inclusive circle of success! Their world is opened up when they learn they can accomplish anything.
