My students have had to balance overcoming adversity and hardships while excelling in their studies. Many of my students choose the Independent Study approach to learning because it allows them to work while in school to help support their family. There are students challenged with mental illness and prefer the flexibility, while others need individualized instruction that meets their educational needs. My students have continuously proved that they can set goals and work hard to accomplish those goals while balancing school and life.
