My 8 students with diverse learning needs require different seating options for their method of learning. Standard desks and chairs leave them restless throughout the day. This results in standing up, jumping, and inattentiveness throughout the day. My students will benefit from ball chairs because they will be able to quietly bounce up and down while working at a table. Wobble stools will allow my students to have a range of movement while working. By having more than one choice for where they sit, students will take ownership in what best works for them. These seating options will allow me to lessen the amount of time spent on nonacademic movement breaks and increase the amount of time learning.
