By having the basic necessities for band taken care of, the students only need to focus on coming to school and playing their instrument. We need reeds for our instruments. Clarinets and saxophones need reeds in order to make their instrument work. Many students do not carry the necessary cash in order to purchase a single reed during class time. In this instance, providing a reed for the students allows them to have the equipment they need whenever they need it. Providing reeds takes the financial burden off the student. They are able to come to class and learn without the hindrance of owing a fee to the school.
