By ensuring I have classroom sets of supplies, no student has to be singled out when it is time to cut and paste in our interactive notebooks or use our whiteboards and expos to respond to math scenarios. It is very important to me that I keep an economically responsive classroom that is proactive in regards to the challenges that my students will face. Having back up headphones to be used for students who are unable to purchase their own is one way I support my kids and their needs. Teaching with very few resources becomes economically draining because I would rather spend my own money than see a kid go without. Donor's Choose is allowing me the opportunity to provide that security without putting myself in a bind and for that I am very thankful.
