In my classroom, some students already know how to read but majority of the students do not. Students need the tools to gain the skills necessary to learn to read. Phonics is a key part of the process of learning to read. My students love games and hands-on materials that give them an opportunity to have fun while learning reading skills. The games, phonics dominoes, and magnetic words are hands-on materials that provide my students with the tools to assist them with learning to read in a fun, exciting way. The headphones provide them with the ability to escape into a world of adventure through the stories on the iPad without the distracting noises of the other students in the classroom.
