The Botley coding robots will make a difference with my younger students as they begin to learn and apply computer science concepts to their education experience. We currently only have access to one older model "robot" which makes it difficult to provide the experience of hands on computer science to an entire classroom. With the Botley robots an additional benefit is that you do not need an iPad or any additional external device to code with them. This is especially helpful when schools such as mine only have a few iPads to serve the entire student body. I have seen many students thrive when being exposed to coding and programming for the first time and hope this project will increase that exposure.
